Reposting a message sent by Tim Craig to the geo-tectonics forum:
Dear all,
We are looking to recruit a postdoctoral research fellow in subduction zone geophysics at the University of Leeds (UK). The post is to work on either earthquake-related processes in, or the geodynamics of, subduction zones, with a particular focus on seismicity occurring within the downgoing plate – there are several projects available within the topic such successful candidates can work on, and I am happy to discuss options with candidates. Candidates should have a background in numerical geodynamic modelling and/or seismicity in subduction settings, and should already have a relevant PhD (or one submitted for examination).
For full details, and how to apply, please see https://jobs.leeds.ac.uk/Vacancy.aspx?ref=ENVEE1760. Anyone considering an application, or looking for further details, is welcome to contact me directly at t.j.craig@leeds.ac.uk, preferably including a CV. Application will close on 27th August. The post is funded by the Royal Society, and funding is available for 2 years in the first instance.
Please feel free to forwards this advertisement on to anyone you know who might be interested.
Many thanks,
Tim
