All,
as in previous years, there’s going to be a dinner night for all ASPECT users and hackers at AGU:
Thursday, December 13th
We haven’t decided on a restaurant and time yet, but will send out more information once we’ve found something.
We’ve had pretty big groups in the past couple of years, so I’d like to ask everyone who is interested in coming (no need to firmly commit) to enter their name/email into this spreadsheet:
This way, we have a rough overview of how many people will come, and can plan accordingly.
Thursday night is Night at the Museum @ AGU. The Smithsonian museums will be open late for AGU attendees only. This is an amazing and unique opportunity; these museums are free but also crowded during the regular hours. I’d suggest the Aspect group go to this and then grab a light dinner before or after.
Hi all,
After some planning and considerations we found it simplest to stick to the original date. Thus, we will have our ASPECT AGU dinner on Thursday, 6:30 pm at the Espita Mezcaleria restaurant, only one block from the conference center (N St & 9th St). The restaurant serves modern Mexican food, from small dishes to entrees, and also offers vegan and gluten-free dishes.
I would suggest we meet after the poster session around 6 pm in the Middle Building, Level 1 Metro Lobby, at the Exit to the 7th St Metro Station (a smaller exit), and make our way to the restaurant around 6:15 pm. If you can not make it in time or are somewhere else, feel free to come to the restaurant directly. We can accommodate more people than those that are signed up so far, so if you have not signed up feel free to join us anyway (we still appreciate if you sign up, so we can plan in advance).
