The first week of December means that final preparations for AGU are being made. If you are planning your schedule, check out the list of AGU presentations from CIG community members here. If yours is not included, send us your Abstract ID and Final Paper Number along with the link to your abstract. Information can be sent by opening a ticket or by email.
Did I mention we have badge swag for AGU? Look for Katie Cooper, Vice Chair for the upcoming CIG community meeting, or CIG Staff Member Arushi Saxena to show your support for The Next Generation of science and scientists as we look forward to gathering our community in August 2025 to discuss the future of geodynamics. Interact with seismologists at the 2025 Seismological Society of America Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland. Submit an abstract to one of several geodynamic oriented technical sessions:
- Earthquakes, Lithospheric Structure, and Dynamics in Stable Continental Regions
- Earth’s Structure from the Crust to the Core
- Geodynamics at the Intersection of Geophysical Observations
Deadline for abstract submission is January 8, 2025.
Do not forget to mark your calendars for the CIG Annual Business Meeting to be held virtually on Thursday January 23, 2025 @ 12P / Noon PST. We will announce the new EC and SSC members and Co Director as well as more details on all of this summer’s events. [register]
