I am working on a quasistatic problem imposing kinematic slip on a normal fault in a homogeneous medium described by Drucker-Prager plasticity. Despite changing the parameters, I can’t get the simulation to produce plastic strains. I have looked at the pylith manual’s rule for plastic flow but it is not clear to me how to implement it into the problem. I have also tried incorporating initial stresses to facilitate yielding.
I have an independent .cfg file for specifying the material parameters. I attach this file (mat_DP.cfg) together with the spatialdb file (mat_druckerprager.txt).
