The Geology Technology Team in the Aramco Research Center - Houston has an opening for a graduate student internship for 2019. Internship dates (summer or fall) and duration are flexible.
We are seeking candidates with strong background in developing complex geological meshes using CUBIT/Trelis. Interested candidates with experience in using CUBIT and in developing customized workflows in via scripting may send their contact details and CV to the email address mentioned below. In addition, candidates may please mention additional Knowledge/Proficiency is repairing surfaces from geomodeling software such as Petrel/GOCAD and in finite element modeling.
The scope of the internship will include (1) Investigating current capabilities in CUBIT for preparing water-tight geometries and (2) Explore some common but challenging structural geological scenarios from a meshing viewpoint for eventual application in geomechanical modeling.
