CIG Events: Rayleigh Hack, AxiSEM Community, Ada Lovelace

Rayleigh Hackathon

Registration is now open for the 2026 Rayleigh Hackathon. Rayleigh is designed for the study of MHD turbulence and convection in spherical geometry using a pseudo-spectral approach. In this workshop, users will work together to implement features into Rayleigh and improve/debug existing functionality and documentation. This is a great way to meet other code users in-person and to gain experience working with the Rayleigh source code. Application closes May 15 or when full - apply early. more info.

2026 AxiSEM Community Development Workshop

Save the date for the first AxiSEM Community Development Workshop, April 13- 14, 2026, in Pasadena, California (prior to the 2026 SSA plenary sessions). This meeting will include discussions in support of an active AxiSEM community and hands-on code development. The meeting is free to attend and is open to any developer, user or potential user of the AxiSEM3D seismic modeling code (or its precursor AxiSEM) who is interested in its maintenance, development, and future direction.
