Hi everyone,
I had a look at the “Training-based Workforce Development for Advanced Cyberinfrastructure (CyberTraining)” NSF program that Raleigh Martin mentioned today and I wondered if this would be a potential funding opportunity for future education activities. It looks like some of the projects funded by this program mostly promise to teach python programming skills to undergraduate students and make the materials available (NSF Award Search: Award # 2118272 - Collaborative Research: CyberTraining: Pilot: A Cybertraining Program to Advance Knowledge and Equity in the Geosciences). Future projects would likely have to go beyond this, but collaboration with CIG would definitely help to show that there is a platform for widely disseminating any developed materials. So I thought it would be worth to keep this in mind.
