After two successful workshops organized in 2017 and 2019, we would like to draw your attention to the next IMAGinING RIFTING Workshop that will be held in Morocco, 23-27 October, 2023.
The workshop will take place in Marrakech over 5 days, including 2 days of keynote talks, short presentations and discussions, 2 days of field excursions in the Central High Atlas and 1 day for a hands-on introduction to geodynamic modelling using ASPECT.
The discussions and presentations will focus on themes relevant to advancing our understanding of rift systems and rifted margins, including (but not limited to):
- inheritance control on rifting;
- role of salt in rifting and drifting;
- Atlantic conjugate margins;
- numerical and analogue geodynamic modelling of lithospheric extension.
