I am running a full 2D annulus convection. The simulations run fine when I set inner velocity boundary conditions to zero and outer to tangential, but when I change them to both be tangential I get a segmentation fault. Any insight and help would be great.

Dante: Can you post an input file that shows this, along with the output you get? Are you running in debug mode?

In addition to what Wolfgang said: Did you remember to pick an option for nullspace removal when switching to both boundaries being tangential? The manual explains why this is necessary in Section 2.15: https://geodynamics.org/cig/software/aspect/aspect-manual.pdf#subsection.2.15.
