The research group of **Bar Oryan** in the [Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences](https://l.meta.ai/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fulvis.net%2F5t1O&h=AUByXG09m2jamO21lAafqMbcR9jHyr5u17SXrDkg5OYmwkPwMGoc_U9mDrjoX0FZhZ9c91bTclBkkOcRGegnYTeMmETCTlTA__3j09a6vT3uAomsq9lDhQ) at Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA) is seeking a graduate student to study earthquake and tectonic processes using numerical modeling, geodetic observations, and quantitative geomorphology.

Potential projects include:

- investigating the relationship between interseismic fault coupling and earthquake rupture,
- understanding earthquake-cycle behavior and fault mechanics using seismic-cycle simulations and neural networks, and
- using landscape inversion to understand long-term tectonic deformation.
